oil pressure alarm

Default oil pressure alarm

quick connect to heater core broke.cel 1258 came on temp protection limp mode.got towed home,replaced it added coolant started right up no knocking sounds great.now low oil pressure message and chime is on but sounds good what can i do?please help ...2006 2500hd 6.0

Verify that the oil pressure is low by using a mechanical gauge. Check your oil for water and water for oil.

oil looks good so does coolant..going to buy mech.guage...should i change oil and filter?

Apparently the engine did over heat, so it is probably a good idea to change the oil and filter. This might also help a bit with the low oil pressure problem.

gauge showed 60psi for about 3-4 miles then slowly dropped to 0.....now at 0psi...where do you hook up a mech oil gauge up to?
