1. Verify the Mass Air Flow (MAF) ground by adding a ground to it...wire colour...black/white tracer. If it is the same, backprobe the Pink wire with a voltmeter to see if has battery voltage when the code sets.
2. If OK, switch the meter to the AC scale and check the Pink wire, there should be less than 0.2 volts of AC voltage. If higher, disconnect the alternator and retest, if now OK, replace the alternator.
3. If the power and ground were OK and there was no AC voltage, check the Hertz (HZ) on the Yellow wire, with it disconnected it should be 5 volts and no HZ, connected should be about 2600 HZ at 575 RPM and 3000 HZ at 900 RPM. The voltage will pull down to about 4 volts. If all OK, it has Powertrain Control Module (PCM) problem, verify good power and grounds to PCM.
