How do I get transmission model#?
2001 Silverado 1500 4x4, 130K miles
-pull 5000 lb camper

Have P0753 and no 2nd gear (automatic).
quote $300 -700 for fix, but mechanic suggested would be a band aid.

P0753: Shift Solenoid "A" Electrical

 

Check the RPO codes sticker located on the inside surface of the glove box door. It will be a 3 letter code and will likely begin with the letter M. Then you can google what the RPO code stands for for your 2001 Silverado.
