Went mudding ended up submerging truck. Had to sit in water 2 days. Luckily no water in engine. Checked everything and it fired right up. But water clearly in transmission looked like pepto.

I bought a new filter kit and planned on filling up start it circulate then drop pan again. Wondering since its not being driven can i spray brake cleaner in filter to clean it to save from buying a new filter each time? I will buy one when i know its close to being cleaned out.
To broke to keep replacing filters and not a big fan of flushes due to very high mileage 300+ and price from shops.

pink transmission fluid. old oil pan no dark fluid came out of tranny.

 

Cheap insurance to buy another filter vs new tranny. I agree doing a full flush not a good idea. Interesting to see what the techs here have to say,
