Default Rear speakers stopped working.

Hi, I drive a 2004 Chevy Silverado, base model, no Bose. My rear speakers decided to just stop working on me. I’ve looked into the settings and have set the balance all the way back and moved it from left to right and there is absolutely no sound. I have begun replacing the speakers and still nothing. When connecting the wires with the radio on it does make a static sound but only for a split second. Any ideas on what might be going on?

since speakers are new then problem is either the stereo or the wiring, so you need to rule out one or the other.
Try plugging the speaker directly into the back of the stereo.
Schematics are on charm.li
