My 2002 Silverado 1500 has a hell of a time with rust from previous owner. Where the tailgate hinge is mounted to the body of the truck is rusted out. I searched the internet for hours with no luck for repairs. Does anyone on here have suggestions??

 

ebay sold me new hinge parts for tailgate after a tree bent original parts. Simple bolt on fix. ebay has both male & female hinge parts, $15.
