Im looking to buy a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD crew cab 8' bed with a bad transmission
It has a 6.0 with a 4l80, it has the push button 4wd and my buddy has a manual shift 4wd 4l80(its automatic besides the 4wd shift)

Would it be to much of a pain to swap in the manual 4wd 4l80 or should i just get another automatic 4wd 4l80 transmission for it. Any advice would be appreciated, Im fairly new to the truck scene and this would be my first GMT800/ heavy duty truck

 

Output shaft in the trans is the same for both transfer cases. Should go as long as it's the correct trans.
