Good morning all, the truck I bought did not come with a key for the lock on the center console, might anyone know where I can get a replacement from OR could someone give me some ideas on a good safe that would fit into my center console. The # on the lock is 113

 

For the key you might check out a local locksmith. Some owners manuals had the name of the company that made the lock (part number??).

guess the ignition cylinder has been changed? Does the ignition key fit the door locks? Can't see gm making a different cut key for the center console?

 

The center console lock was more like a mailbox lock at an apartment complex with a small key. A locksmith said he will cut me 1 for $75 and I was like ehhhhh ill get back to you. Just for shiggles i hopped on ebay and looked up chevy compartment key and a listing for 2 keys came up. The guy said to tell him the lock code number and he will cut the keys. Both keys cost me 9.65 with free shipping :-) I would imagine they will be here today

Keys worked PERFECTLY

 

Just be careful about what you lock in there. That console lock is a perfect example of the saying, "Locks keep honest people out of your stuff." A bad guy will have that "locked" console open in about three seconds.

 

If by any chance do u remember the seller or anything about him I could get to order keys please? I searched on eBay and Amazon and couldn't find anything TIA
