Default 07.5 silverado problem

Changed battery yesterday now my radio keeps cutting out. Display goes blank and sound goes off but instantly comes back on it does this while driving or parked. Pushing the clock set button also makes it shut off. Any help would be apprec.iated

1st rule of electrical troubleshooting: process of elimination.
I would wire a 12v bulb in parallel with the stereo power. If the bulb cuts out with the stereo you know it's a wiring issue. If it doesn't, then it's the stereo.

Fixed it by disconnecting battery and hooking positive and negative cables together and letting it sit for 10 or 15 min. Reconnected battery and everything works as it should.

its called a positive battery disconnect. Its like a reboot to all the modules. When batteries slowly die...the modules don't shut down properly.

Well, I'll give it a try tomorrow. Wgat puzzles me on my truck is that nothing gets power when batt is hooked up. No lights, dash, hazards, signals, nothin.
And when batt is connected ans and key in off position...i hear a buzz from under the column...when i turn key to start- buzz stops. -and still no power to anything.

your concern is not the same as the op. unlikely this will work fix your issue.
