Default 2008 Silverado 4.3 swap questions.

Hi guys new here.. I have a 2008 Silverado 2wd with a 4.3 vin x. Customers vehicle.. engine locked up due to not changing oil. Customer brought me a good engine, I started to swap everything over onto the new engine.. when I found out the timing cover and timing gears were different. Found out it was the wrong engine and is a old style timing setup with actual distributor ignition. Timing cover has no cam shaft sensor. My question is, what is my best option here. I checked all the gears and they are the same from new and old engine only difference is the actual timing gears due to having pickups on them. Does anyone make some type of timing cover conversion so that I can run the newer style timing setup? Main issue is the tone ring on the crank is to big for the plastic timing cover. Oil pan is differnt as well but I can use the seized engines oil pan. It’s mainly the timing cover not having correct bolt hole location.. thanks
