I noticed the first crack on the airbag in Oct of 2010. Took it in to the dealer and was told I missed my warranty by two weeks but they would see if the trim warranty covered it. I received a phone call a few days later notifying me that it isn't covered. If the airbag deploys is there going to be plastic shrapnel flying thru the truck? Sometime in Dec. of 2010 a huge crack develops over the gauge cluster. Truck is only two years old at this time with less than 20k on it. I was very proud of my truck. I am upset about this. It needs to be taken care of.

I'm having the same issue. Two cracks. One right by the instrument cluster and another by the passenger air bag. It's very disappointing. I spent all that money and keep up with my vehicle and not even a year after owning it, it falls apart.

I'm not sure I understand how this isn't a recall. If you search on google about this you will find tons of sites with reports of the same thing. All reporting the same cracking in the same exact places. Search youtube and you will find video's, one vary particular one pointing out 6 trucks in the same video with the same problem as we are all having.

I'm truly disappointed.

I bought my 2009 off the Chevy lot in January. Very clean in fact like new and have had nothing but issues since then. Every time I go in its a hundred dollars which is better than full price, but I was just there at Chevy 2 weeks ago getting 2 leaky inter cooler lines fixed.
Now this morning a crack on the dash right next to the airbag
. I use a sunshade and always leave my windows cracked open during excessive heat. I called Chevy where I live and they are going to what they can do and was told by the service advisor this was phenomena occurring a lot with Tahoes' and trucks'

I hope they handle this at the dealer, I cant believe how many issues I have had in 5 months of ownership. I do feel better knowing i am not alone on this but it is unfortunate for people to experience it.
