Default 2008 Silverado Speaker Update

I want to update the speakers in my ‘08 Crew Cab. I have the driver side rear door panel off right now , and have removed the speaker. I am replacing them with Kenwood 1666s’ (all 4 being changed to these 6 1/2” speakers)
Am I able to reuse the OEM bracket once I pull out the factory speaker and punch out the inner plastic that held the OEM speaker in place ?
Should I use 2way tape to secure it to the bracket along with drilling new screw holes?
Should I use locking screws and nuts instead of screws?
any help would be appreciated

thanks

John

From my research if they fit inside the lip, screw them in, if not cut the lip off then screw them onto the brackets.
