Angry 2008 Silverado stuck in 4WD Low

I used my remote start, went out and when I started to drive, found that it switched to 4L by itself and would not come out. I did the stop, put in neutral and try to switch, the dial didn’t even blink. I tried the reset using the dial, nothing. No sound from the actuator or the TCEM. Shot the parts cannon at it, new switch, new actuator, new TCCM and finally new TCEM. Now, the dial says it’s in neutral. I drove it about 100’ and it seemed fine, but when I reversed and got some speed (about 5 mph ish), it acted like it dropped into neutral and there was a noise like gears touching but not meshing until I stopped. Put it into reverse again, got up some speed and it did the same thing. I’m almost to the point of junking this truck.

Any ideas?

Solution: Broken 8v Reference wire. Turns out, at least in my case, even with the 8v reference wire broken at the firewall, you can still measure voltage in the testing range at the TCEM. Fixed now.
