Hi all

Just wanted to see if someone had any advice before I started tearing things apart, as this is not my forte.

Have a new-to-me 2009 Silverado 1500. The passenger door controls (lock & window buttons) do not work. The driver door controls can lock the passenger door, but won't move the passenger window. So it's not a matter of the entire door harness being dead/pinched/disconnected, presumably. What's the most likely culprit?

 

pull the door panel off and check for power and grd to the window motor. If ok...tap on the motor with a hammer while holding teh switch on...if it works the motor is bad.
if the window tries to move but binds...the regulator cables may be bound up...replace the regulator
if no power and grd...give the motor power and grd...if it works...you have a wiring or switch issue...trace back to continue diagnosis.
