2010 Silverado Whining Noise
Hi All,
Looking for some guidance on what this possible whine could be from under the engine of my 2010 1500 Silverado. The whining happens whenever the engine is warm. You can somewhat hear it when you pop the hood, but if you lay under the truck, you can hear it very clear in the oil filter area. The whining is constant whether the truck is in gear or in park. It doesn't change when the steering wheel is being turned. I did notice that I was very low on power steering fluid, but that might be a whole other issue. I would love for it to be the power steering pump, but it doesn't make sense that the whining noise is constant regardless if I'm turning the wheel or not. Attached is a video I found online that is what I believe the exact same sound I'm hearing from my truck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
