Default 5.3 to 6.0 swap

I'm planning to 6.0 swap my 2008 gmc sierra 1500 le 5.3. I know it's a sierra but nearly identical. I know the 6.0 is plug and play but I'm not sure what kind of tuning I might need on the pcm if it needs tuning.

So my question is does anyone know if I need tuning and is it a ridiculous process to get done by a performance shop or relatively straightforward.

yes you will need to get a tune for it. Best bet is to call around your area shops to find out if they can or will. For example I found a shop in Lubbock Tx that uses HP tuners but ONLY on their builds. Another option you could purchase a tuner from HP download a stock 6.0 tune and play with it from there.
