I purchased a 2008 Silverado about 5 months ago. The truck runs great but for some reason neither the cruise control, nor the remote start work. The light on the wheel comes on for the cruise control and when i try to remote start the headlights flash and thats all.

 

I would check the brake light switch. The cruise would not work or would quit when I would hit a good bump in road on my 2008 until I kicked the side of the brake pedal. That would also affect the remote start. I replaced the switch, problem solved

 

ill have to give that a shot, hopefully that'll do it
