.........that sucks...was hoping for an easy swap to see if thats causing the oil to "disappear". Got an oil change and they said there was barely any oil on the stick....no leaks....no blue smoke....weird

Never heard of a vehicle that had a PCV valve that was non removable. Here is what I found:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...on)+hose,11784

Correction: apparently the PCV is not serviceable on your vehicle.I suppose you could shoot some carb cleaner down the orifice:

Man I am holding onto my 98 K-1500 until I die. I don't understand this non-replaceable nonsense at all, but I AM old-school.

....wonder if that nipple sticking out the valve cover is just a tube. And the parts to be looking at is that hose?

Ive tried looking it up to. Only thing i could find is that the pcv valve was built into the cover....and had to replace the whole thing. It would be really dumb if thats what they intended for us to do when the valve goes bad

It makes them more $$$ when it goes for repairs. What was wrong with the old PCV valve that could be changed in a minute? Hope I don't have to fool with my 2015 Malibu 2.5 throttle body. Its right next to the firewall, VERY hard to get to.

when the pcv sytem is blocked or overcome by excessive blowby gases the air filter will get oil pushed into it. If you don't have that condition, the pcv system is probably fine. if you think you have an oil consumption problem...
-are you seeing blue smoke out the exhaust ...anytime or on hard acceleration ?
-do the spark plugs have ash deposits?
-any difference in dry and wet compression tests?

check the oil level is at the full mark. note you mileage and monitor the oil level and mileage. that is how you start an oil consumption study.
