Hope that fix works but the repair doesn't make sense. Locks and prndrls don't cycle because the power is removed/reconnected. If it did, you should be able to create the problem by pulling and re-inserting the fuse in question.

A temperary "fix" when this occurs is unhooking the battery and reconnecting it. I guess it resets everything in the truck. When this all happens and I turn the truck off it has 0 power to anything basically as if there was no battery in the truck at all, the dealership is havin me replace these items becaus they are not covered by warranty and if this doesn't work I have to take it back to them to have them continue their diagnostics.

So after making the recommended repairs by the dealer the truck began to **** up yet again. Same issue. I left it running while it was towed in so they could pull any codes. Was just told the code pulled was for a bad ground under the truck. (Same thing that was wrong with a coworkers with the same issue). Awaiting repair will post when I know something.

Hi Thollowell. I just found this forum after experiencing this exact same problem on my 2009 Silverado I recently purchased. It is at the dealer now and they cannot find anything and no codes are present. Did you have any luck with with finding a bad ground?

Was there any new information that your dealership was able to provide, Rlhdude? If you'd like for us to reach out to your dealership we'd be happy to gather details about your Silverado and make sure they've consulted with all of their resources regarding this issue. Private message us your VIN, full contact information and dealership name if interested.

They ended up replacing an entire circuit somewhere in the truck. So far it seems to have solved the problem. I cannot remember what they replaced. My dealership is Strosnider Chevrolet in Hopewell VA. Feel free to contact them or have your dealer contact them. I will say its ironic they fixed it after I requested all of my records to get my stuff together for a lemon law claim. If I can find out what they did I'll post it.
