2013 silverado 1500 4x4 ltz getting code P2161 that means It needs a new speed senser replaced both interneal and external becuase it cuts out like its shutting off and on and jerks door locks clik cruise disengages
sime times gas needle will go to empty and turns on low fuel on dash and screen ck engine light comes on also I woundered if it was shorting out so I rewired it from the senser to to computer Anyone have any thought ideas
or knowledge os what the heck it could be please Help! Wes

 

Mine basically does the same thing did you ever figure it out

 

No so far its still a mystery, thinking about checking fuel module up under the spare tire if you find the issue please let me know

 

I definitely will I have changed so much stuff and gotten no where

I already changed the vehicle speed sensor supposedly there is one inside the transmission that’s attached to the valve body I changed the one on top of the transfer case and the other guy did both of them and that didn’t fix anything

 

changing parts didn't fix anything? Shocking.
