Default Front end issues & driver side motor mount

08 Silverado 1500. Loud noise passenger side detected by shop as bad upper control arm/ball joint. They gave me an estimate to replace both sides of roughly $550. This shop doesn't do front end alignments so add another $110 so about $660 total.

Took to another shop for estimate that does do front end alignments and they said both upper control arms, both lower ball joints and passenger side inner tie-rod end needs to be replaced. Price including front end alignment is $1025.......so about $365 for additional work mentioned.
I can't understand how one shop says upper control arms only and the other all the work mentioned above.

Also driver side motor mount is bad and that's $390 to replace. The truck has 251.500 miles and the motor and transmission is in good shape. Just not sure if I want to sink roughly $1400 to get all the work done on a truck with that many miles on it.

Not much to understand. You might wear your shoes a little longer than me before replacing them.

It's totally up to you. If you can afford to replace the vehicle , then do that if you want.

If the engine + transmission are still going strong, and money is tight, then why not refresh the suspension. It's probably the last time you'll do it.
You could save more money by doing some of the work yourself. It's not that bad with a jack and set of wrenches + sockets.

But don't ignore it. It's not worth wrecking over.
