Fuel sender wiring
Hello, I have a 2009 2500hd with a 6.0l vortec. I went out the other day and it wouldn't start. Acted like it was out of gas, and I noticed the fuel gauge showed empty, but I knew it wasn't. I had the check engine light on as well. I pulled the codes and had some evap system codes, as well as fuel level sensor code. So I pulled the tank today, and it appears mice chewed threw ALL the wires going to the fuel level sensor!! Not happy, but really no big deal to splice them back together. However I noticed 2 wires have the same color code, tan w black stripe. The question is, what do they do, and does it matter which end I splice it to, in other words can I reverse them, or does it not matter.?
