2007 1500 Chevy Silverado headlight socket constantly melting spices are good ground is good 3 sockets in six months why is this heating up so much

 

What bulb are you using? Just to verify,is it the headlight or the DRL socket? Do you use bulb paste?

 

I had this same problem in my 2012 and it was the main harness plug below my lowbeam headlights the ground wire going to my lowbeam was loose and it was shorting out and blowing my headlight out and melting my plug

 

I have the same problem in my 2012. How did you end up fixing it??
