How to bleed brakes

Default How to bleed brakes

I put new brake pads on my 2008 Chevrolet Silverado LT and the service brakes soon light stays on, do I need to bleed the brakes to get it to turn off ?

Welcome from Florida. Did you open the bleeder when you changed the pads? Is the brake pedal soft? Is the brake fluid full?
