How to tell when airflow is restricting power output
Hey everyone,
I”m currently working on building an engine for my 2011 Sierra 1500. The base is an LC9, I’ve got a TSP mild cam in it with a 215° duration, forged pistons and connecting rods, ported heads and an LSXRT FAST intake manifold. I’m about to get some injectors, and a bigger fuel pump and FP regulator, but I was wondering what would be overkill? I could get 70lb injectors and a 640 lph fuel pump, but what’s the point if I don’t have enough air to make it worth it. I don’t plan on any type of forced induction either. So my real question, is there a way to use the readings from my MAF sensor to determine the maximum amount of fuel I can make use of? Thank you for any help you can give me.

Im not a engine builder or tuner so i can"t answer your question. I don't know the limit of the stock injectors. I will say, if you build it and the fuel trims are running lean during a high fuel demand.... then add the larger pump and injectors.
not sure you would need all that for a n/a build...boosted yes. You def don't want to go to big or it will be a guzzling pig with no power returns.
