Ideas to Install New LED fog lights?...
Hello. I need help finding the correct route to make a new install of LED Fog Lights on my 2009 fog light delete 2500 Silverado.
My truck didn't come with fog lights, but a little fender bender means I'm installing front bumper, valance, end caps, and later 1 or 2 headlights, maybe grill. I know how to do all that & have the parts. I'm also installing fog lights & have the end caps with fog light holes, wiring harness, dash buttons, & know-how for that.
I want to install LED fog lights. So far I bought a pair of Morimoto lights that come with proper wiring, but they don't come with attachment clips or adjustment screws. Can buy the vanilla clips online, but not the adjustment screw unless & only if buy oem style halogen housings. (Besides the Morimotos only total 2,400 lumen, said by many to be too weak to be effective & they're too small for my end caps; I live in the fog on the curvey coast so I actually need these lights to see better).
This is where your advice can guide me... Everything so far looks like I have to buy oem-style square fog lights that come with the securing & adjusting screws. Then I guess I'm looking for how to change out the halogen bulbs for LED & it being a success with this truck. Has anyone here done it? Had any problems? Does my ideas sound right or is there a better idea out there? Thank you.
