Default Loud clunk when applying brakes in 4WD

I have a 2009 chevy silverado 3500hd dually. In 4wd, I can hear a short loud clunk coming from the transfer case when I first apply the brakes. I have dropped the transfer case, taken it apart and replaced a worn fork (the larger of the 2). Everything else looked good, not worn out. Put it all back. Still making the noise. I heard there might be a front end issue causing the noise in the transfer case. If someone has experienced anything similar and could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. I've already replaced the left and right CV joints. Thank you in advance.
