Angry Not a happy camper!

HI Everyone, I need your help. I have a 2007 Chevy 1500 pick up with 115,000 and the transmission just went out on me and the engine suddenly burns through 5 quarts of oil at random. I need to know is this just me or has this happened to someone else.

Although it happens occasionally, it is not normal. These are pretty reliable trucks and last much more than 115,000 miles if cared for. We don't know the history and maintenance of this truck.

The problem was the truck is well cared for and I only drive 8 or 9k miles a year. That's why I was so surprised about the issues I am now having with this truck. I guess it's time to go back to a foreign make again.

Have you had this truck since it was new? If not, how do you know that it was well cared for before you had it? I have also heard the same stories for foreign cars and trucks.
