Talking Oil pump. Regular or high flow? 2007 2500HD 6.0L

Hey

So I'm getting a low oil pressure warning on my HUD when I start up my 2007 Silverado 2500HD Classic 6.0L. No dash light comes on and the pressure goes to normal when at operating temperature.

I figure it's probably time to replace the oil pump and pickup line and these haven't been replaced probably for a long time. (Yes, I understand I'm taking a risk not knowing if the pump is actually the problem in the first place) I'm not mechanic, but I'm a little confused about what pump I should get. Rock auto suggests a high flow pump for high mileage engines, mine has 210,000km. And Summit Racing says you only need a high flow/pressure pump in race engines.

And the text below is directly off Mellings website for the pump they show for my truck and it's the same text Rock Auto uses. But on Rock Auto it is under the HIGH FLOW/PRESSURE heading.

"18% Additional Volume Over Stock Oil Pump; High Volume Pump; Recommended For High Mileage Engines"

Mellings pump with pickup product # # M295-324S

Thanks for reading.

I can see why it be advantageous at all, In an a older vehicle in particular, having good oil pressures is always a good thing.
