This One's a Keeper
2007 Silverado Classic.
Just turned 150k miles. Front brakes started feeling a little funny so decided to just replace rotors and pads, since I'm only on the 2nd set of pads (original rotors)
Upon inspection, inner pads were both very worn. Installed new Brembo rotors and pads, bled the system. Like new again. ($150 in parts)
I don't think I've ever owned a better vehicle. 5.3L (non AFM). Doesn't use any oil, Runs perfect. Just done regular maintenance. I had the starter relay fail last summer and decided to pull the starter anyway and have it rebuilt. And a couple of years ago, the original u-joints started making noise.
Original alternator, water pump, all the usual stuff, still working great.
I think i'm just gonna drive it until it blows, which feels like a long way off.
