passlock issue
Went to town, no issues. Next day, got in truck and tried to start. Dash lit up, went to crank and nothing! Good batteries , checked with battery tester under load. Went to starter solenoid with switch to run. Bypassed switch, engine cranked but would not start. Did thorough inspection of wires (as good as I could without stripping all the protective sleeves off), connectors, etc. I then noticed the passlock light was on. I didn't even know what it was, until I googled it. I tried a number of utube suggestions that are supposed to reset it but my 2008 3500HD dually, did not respond as explained. When I put in run switch position, dash lights up, passlock icon comes on, but never goes off, to continue the suggested process. Any suggestions would be appreciated, short of towing to nearest dealer. I am a decent mechanic, but these electronics are above my pay grade.
