My husband replaced the ignition switch in his 98 cheyenne for the second time. He was having a problem where you would turn the switch to on to crank it but no dash lights would come on at all and the truck would turn over but would not crank. The radio had power, the headlights came on, but nothing on the dash. We were told it was the passlock problem. He hooked up a resistor to bypass the system, then sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. So he was told to replace the ignition switch and do a relearn for it. So we did that and tried ALL THREE relearn procedures. Nothing works.. Now this truck is different. The security light comes on solid but goes off after a few seconds. it doesnt take ten minutes for it to go off. Can anyone help with this please? This is the only vehicle half way running right now. I have chemo three times a week and he needs to get to work. PLEASE HELP!!
