Default Rear brakes on GMC Sierra.

I wanted to comment and hopefully someone will have a legitimate and knowledgeable response. I own a 2007 GMC Sierra extended cab short bed Z71. I noticed when I ran the VIN number for my truck it came up with everything exactly as it is on my truck except for it said that my model only came with rear disc brakes, and mine has drums on the rear. Did someone make a mistake in GM bookkeeping or did I wind up with an oddball truck?

When I first got it.

Looks like we got us a troll here folks. 4 posts in one day? As for your drum brakes, the rear drums have actually been proven to be MORE effective then rear disks. But you might want to "fix" your air-conditioning blower "problem" first. I was NOT born yesterday, dude. If you don't like your Z71 pickup, then sell it it and get a non-GM pickup.

No, but you can believe what you wish to about me, MMJ. I have never heard of some issue with Chevrolet climate control blowers and my old 1998 Chevy K-1500 does not have a cabin filter, Nevertheless I have never had an issue with it and it is still the same one it's always been, so despite the dust and all, its still working quite well. Yes, I do think the OP is a troll, unless he can prove he is not and I do not see that occurring. There is NO issue with Chevrolet pickup truck climate control fans that I am aware of.

All I see is a guy asking truck questions.
The only troll drama is coming from your direction.

maybe it got in an accident and the rear axle was swapped out. Whole lotta work has been done on that truck. I'd believe that more than being built wrong.
