I dont know. Why muck things up? Its a pickup. My 98 K-1500 has side mirrors with no heat or power and I like it that way. Has a rubber floor covers too. Gets muddy, I hit with a water hose and roll the windows down to let it air out. Course I had a Jeep CJ-5 with no air-conditioning, a 258 CU inline-6 and a vinyl top that was noisy as hell.

dont really want to muck things up but like the DIC switch, even if your truck didnt come with it the wires are still back there so you can add on later. and thats what i was wondering if i could do. if the wires arnt there then im not even going to worry about it. the only thing i may want to do is add tow mirrors, but thats only if something happens to the smaller ones that are on it now

I’ve read in other forums that they’re all wired the same.. example.. your truck doesn’t have factory heated mirrors but have rear defrost, heated mirrors would work.

If you have power and heated mirrors, then the wiring is present for the turn signals. I upgraded to tow mirrors and they plugged in and the turn signals in the new mirrors work. Got my tow mirrors from 1aauto.com
