Silverado with a few issues (codes)
aright im having a few codes and issues with my 2010 crewcab 1500 with a 5.3. im pretty sure the answer is obvious i just want to get another opinion or two. I have at least two different unrelated issues and the codes are pretty much pointing directly at the problems. One code is "c0040-5a right front wheel speed sensor circuit - not plausible. ive been getting a vibration when turning left that seams to be related to wheel speed so i was pretty sure it was the hub bearing, in-laws borrowed the truck and this is when the code popped along with disabling abs & tc. so im pretty sure with the code pointing to the speed sensor being contaminated its the right side bearing thats going up. one thing im not sure about and not sure if its related is the tire pressure for that tire is sometimes 0 or not accurate. does the pressure sensor communicate with the hub bearing or something else, i was originally thinking it was a bas sensor in the wheel but if it communicates with the hub then i could fix the sensor problem by replacing the hub.
the other issue is i have 3 other codes that point to o2 bank2 sensor2 codes are p0158 high voltage B2S2, p2273 signal stuck rich B2S2 and p014a HO2S delayed response rich to lean B2S2. im pretty sure thats the 02 sensor but im not too confident and dont want to be throwing parts at it and this is the one that i want a second opinion on

The man is a professional vehicle technician. We are just damn lucky to have him here when he can do so. Heck, it's getting real late here and I have to hit the hay. I'll see what I can find out when I have time. I know you are joking around, but tech2 has a life and bills to pay.

It sends the tire pressures of all the tires to a radio frequency pickup unit, likely in the ECM, which displays all the tire pressures on your dash. Unfortunately the unit inside the tire has batteries that can/will go out of service one day, meaning having to bust the tire open to either replace the unit or possibly the batteries, if one is able to dismantle a unit, that is.
I couldn't stand seeing a perfectly good tire with 35 PSI, which I run, show up as zero on the tire pressure display and the dash warning indicator. Still love my 2015 Chevy Malibu, with the non-turbo 2.5 liter engine, the last one installed in a pre-2016 Chevrolet light sedan, like my 15' Chevy Malibu is.
What's odd is before I started to notice any noise or vibration the right front tire was reading bad. One minute it would be right on 35ish then drop to 22 then to 0. Then it started to read 0 all the time I summed it up to a bad battery in the tire. But I didn't just replace it and let it go because I'm kind of cheap lol. Then a month or two later we started hearing a roar but only when turning. Then while the inlaws were driving it the code for the speed sensor came up, which pointed to the wheel sensor due to metal shavings. Replaced the hub assembly last night and the roar is gone and the tire pressure is reading right again. I didn't do anything to the tire but remove the tire. Maybe it's just a coincidence or maybe the hub was making noise at a non audible level that was interfering with the radio frequency.
