TCM replacement
Hi,
I have a NBS 2007 Silverado 4x4 vmax. It has had a blackbear tune for years. I recently lost communication with TCM. I replaced the TCM with a 2009 from a wrecker. I now have communication and gear indication etc... back. I tried loading my blackbear TCM tune using AutoCal but get an operating system error ($540) on my programmer. I believe this is because I have a 2009 tcm and not a 2007? Does the tcm need to be reprogrammed to work correctly in my truck? Can the 2009 Tcm be reprogrammed to 2007 configuration and then loaded with Blackbear tune? If I have to find a 2007 TCM, does it have to come from a Silverado?
