Default Tinking sound when I drive

My truck has started to make a constant tink tink tink sound when I drive it. Sounds like a piece of metal it ganging on somewhere and its just bouncing back and forth when I hit the gas. It also has no power when I hit the gas, it struggles to get up to speed. I changed the catalytic converters thinking that was the issue, but it didn't change anything. Any ideas of what it could be? Thanks
Its a 2009 LT 5.3 4 wheel drive

I'd' run some OBD II codes on it. Does the transmission kick down to a lower gear when you put the pedal down hard (assuming it's an automatic). How many miles do you have on your Chevy? What's your oil pressure running at on your dash? Kind of sounds like a lifter issue, with the ticking, but at this point that's nothing but guess.

No codes on it. No it don't kick down, it just doesn't want to go. Ive changed the O2 sensors and still not better. Its got 170000, oil pressure is fine, 40 to 60 I think it was. Its not a lifter tick, its more of like a piece of metal bouncing around somewhere and i can't figure out from where. I will try to get a recording of the sound and attach it on here.

Yeah, that might help. Most people know what lifter noise sounds like, and you likely do too. If your tranny isn't kicking down to a lower gear when you punch it, there is indeed something amiss with that.

My Silverado is making this exact same noise, and it tinks faster when I drive faster. It just started doing this out of nowhere. Did you ever find out what the problem was?

I know exactly what it is. It’s prob worse going up hill. It is the bendix in the starter not retracting and tapping the flywheel. Had this happen, and my buddy figured it out right away
