I have a 2012 Silverado 6.2 liter with the tow package. I am wondering if it possible and/or advisable to tow a 6,000 lb trailer with a 500 lb motorcycle in the bed. I am not sure how to calculate. I have thought to buy the 3500 with the 6.6 diesel and for sure not to have an issue but that's another $40,000 with my trade.

 

I don't see as you need to spend all that money. I think the 6.0 liter will pull it all quite nicely.
