Someone please help, my 2008 Silverado LTZ Vortex max won’t start. I have changed the alternator, battery, key Fob, and it won’t even jump start, it acts as if dead and will only show indications of power with external battery source what could it be?

 

The truck acts like it’s completely dead, no power what so ever, but the battery is brand new, I can’t even open it with the key Fob it has to be done manually, and then when I try to start it, nothing..the truck will not start or click no dash lights, no error codes or check engine light, simply no power

 

For starters, test the battery with a meter to verify full charge; needs to be over 12.5 volts. If ok, then you are on a hunt for an open circuit - check all your fuses yet?? What was it doing before you changed all the things llisted - the more details you give us, the more help we can be to you.

 

I think I might have found the issue, the grounding cable is bad and the starter is also bad, I am changing both of them out and seeing if the problem goes away, I appreciate everyone’s input.
