Question 2014 silverado 7 pin plug wiring problem

My 2014 Silverado had a problem with the factory trailer plugs and was replaced while under warranty by the dealer. I did not plug in the camper to the truck until we were headed out for an extended vacation and discovered that with the lights on then I plug in the trailer the trucks backup lights will now come on. This did not happen before the dealer replaced the plug assembly. I have found a 7 pin wiring diagram but it is for a pre-2014 truck, the style where the plug key is on the top of the plug cylinder instead of being on the bottom as Chevrolet implemented starting with 2014. I did call the dealership and spoke with them about this and they said it should not cause a problem while on the trip and to come in when I get back for them to fix it. I called to make and appointment, Monday the 27th, and the service writer basically said there was nothing wrong with their work and that the problem was with the trailer plug, but could not answer why it did not do this before they replaced the plug.

My questions are:
1 - Is the wiring the same only rotated 180° ?
2 - What change to the wiring would cause this undesired action?
I thank you in advance for your time and help, as any and all constructive advice and solutions are welcome.

Michael
