Default AC blowing hot air

My AC started blowing hot air On my 2014 Silverado purchased new. The dealer says it's going to cost me to fix because just out of warranty. I should have listen to my brother and bought the Tundra. This is a common problem with these trucks and Chevy won't fix the issue on their dime after I spent $45,000 on my new truck.

Add me to the list. 2014 Silverado 5.3L Truck is just out of warranty with 40,400 miles and A/C is out. We will see what the dealership says, but I'm pretty sure I already know the answer. I did buy the truck new in December of 2014. This is ridiculous. We have a Dodge and Ford in the driveway, both with over 200k miles and still blowing cold A/C...

Depending on the outcome, I'm considering taking this thread to the local news. This seems to be a common problems and for such low mileage, this really needs to be recalled.

Has anyone reported this or made complaints with the Office of Defects Investigation, NHTSA, BBB or any other outlets? Even those that were fixed under warranty, if the records are being wiped then these problems aren't being reported.

Unfortunately, I am now a part of the club. Bought my 2014 Silverado 5.3L All Star edition in December 2013. Only has 34k miles and my AC just stopped working yesterday. It is going to feel like 110 degrees today here in Baltimore. I am not a happy camper. I dropped it off this morning and they JUST called me as I was typing this telling me it is the compressor. Coincidentally, my dealer sent me a letter on Saturday about trading mine in for a new 2016 and a day later my compressor dies. Imagine that....

Default "No A/C*

I too have just had my A/C quit on a 2015 Silverado High Country. This happened on the start to a 5 hour ride in 95 degree heat,I have made an appointment for today . This truck cost me $ 53,000 and have had for 1 and 1/2 years,I can't believe that this is right and by the sound of the 166 responses to this problem I am shocked that Chevy has not been more responsive to the issue.

Went to the dealership this morning. Two hours later it is repaired along with the seatbelt recall done. They said that a refrigerant hose had rubbed or vibrated until it ruptured. The fix was to replace the hose and install a mount on the hose to keep it supported so it doesnt happen again.

Got my truck back yesterday after only 8 hours. They said there was an internal failure in the compressor which meant it basically came apart on the inside. Then a piece of metal shredded the hose where the coolant comes in. They replaced the compressor and hose. So far so good. I was extremely pleased with the dealership and had a pleasant experience all things considered. Thankfully I only had 34k miles otherwise this post would probably be completely different story

We are having this same issue, and even though this seems to be a recurring issue. They only seem to accommodate to customers within warranty. Why is nothing being doing for people over warranty if this is a recurring issue!? What can we do to get this fixed.. I mean this is a semi new vehicle this should NOT be an issue!
