Default 2014 silverado a/c doesn't cool

My a/c was cooling last night when I got home, today it isn't cooling. All fuses appear to be good.

what is the ambient temp sensor reading? if to low the a.c request will be inhibited. Sometimes the temp sensor will not update until certain conditions are met.

Where do I find the ambient temp reading and what conditions need to be met. The temp setting on the dash was not changed.

instrument cluster or rearview mirror. iirc below 7*C a/c will be inhibited.

How do you think this helps? What is iirc? It's 84 degrees outside, no way anything can read 7 degrees Celsius. Maybe you should have a look at the thread titled 2014 Silverado AC Problems Already?

You people have a problem with these a/c units and your just hoping it doesn't get out to the public. I'm lucky because my truck is still under warranty but look at all the other people chevy has stuck it to. I have allways been a Silverado fan. I sold my 95 to buy this one. I guess I'll have sell this one and move on to a manufacturer that respects it customers.

WOW! Easy dude - who the heck do you think you are talking to - "you people"?? This is not a Chevrolet run forum, it's regular guys & gals (like you but generally more friendly) taking their free time (if there is such a thing) to help fellow Chevy owners. So if you would like to apologize & start over, more power to you. Otherwise - go abuse some other forum.
Respectfully yours, Red (no I don't work for Chevy)

As previously mentioned GM doesn't monitor this forum, there are a handful of techs and former techs here on our own will and free time to offer advice but I'll tell you the same thing I tell customers that get an attitude....theres the door good luck. Respect will get you a lot farther than attitude, and by the sounds of it you must already know more than we do so I'm puzzled why you're asking "us people" for help anyway.

And on a sidenote....pick ANY manufacturer and hop on their internet forums there is ALWAYS people griping and saying "oh I'll just buy another brand." Every brand has issues and assuming you haven't even been to a dealer or attempted having the vehicle diagnosed you're basing your opinion off of??????

I work for another manufacturer...come on over.
The ambient temp reading is not live. It doesn't matter what temp it is but rather what temp is stored.

Shhh, I am trying to keep this from going public....Why are people so ____(fill in blank).
