I had the same issue on my 2016 enough times that i took a deep dive down the internet rabbit hole and searched for any possible answers based on popularity. The biggest culprits seem to be the main ground mounting points on the front half of the vehicle and the wiring harness plugs that connect to the fuse box under the hood on the drivers side. The first two ground points are in the corners of the dash where it meets the windshield under the front speaker grills, and the issue is the dash pad/insulation got stuck around and under the nut so it doesnt make a good ground to the stud (fix is to remove the A pillar trim on each side and the front half of the dash exposing the studs, then cut/remove the corner of the pad then tighten the nuts completely). The third ground point is outside under the truck behind the passenger side front tire where the negative battery cable runs down the firewall and bolts to the frame (fix is to remove/clean/re-tighten the bolt/ring terminal and then cover with a rust inhibitor). Regarding the wire harness plugs, both are outside the fuse box with one facing the windshield and the other facing the motor. All i did was disconnect the battery then unplug both plugs and clean with contact cleaning spray, then plug them back in and lock them in place. Out of concern, i also added a few zip ties around the whole plug just to make sure there was no way for the plug and socket to separate. I dont know which of these was the actual issue, but since doing them all i havent had the issue happen again.

Does your scan tool check for DTC's on all controllers? Or is it only doing an OBD-II scan? An OBD-II scan is only going to check ECM, TCM and won't tell you about codes for ABS, etc.

Default Fix

I accidentally found out that my "Viper" remote start was the culprit. I went through all the same Service Errors and decided to reconnect my remote start. Ta-da! The remote start was sending an error and a code for the TCM would pop-up. I cleared it out and fixed my remote start and haven't had any issues since. This saved me about $2000. I hope this helps..... Also, my Viper wiring is located right next to the code reader connection... Just FYI.
