Advice on a new 2500HD
Hello all! First post here. I have been looking for a Chevy or GMC to haul horses with. I may have finally found one! It's a 2014, it does have 102k miles so it's a bit high but that doesn't bother me too much. The thing that makes me go hmmmmm are the aluminum wheel hubs are like pitting. The dealer says it's from road salt. That carfax has the car originally from Plattsburgh, NY which is snow country! My big worry here is if the tires look like.that, could the frame be in rough shape? There definitely was some.rust on the frame, but I am no exert and don't know if it's superficial or something to worry about. Any thoughts? Asking price is $26,000 which in today's market is pretty decent in New England.

I don't live in the rust belt, and thankfully they don't use salt on the roads, but once rust gets in there as I said recently it's like cancer. You have to cut it all out. Naval jelly might work, but that stuff is real nasty, although it works. I'd get a creeper and check the underside real good.
