Default Android auto for 2016 2500hd ltz FYI

Bought my truck a week ago on the 18th. I have a galaxy s7 edge phone and I downloaded the android auto. However the radio would not find my phone. I called my sales guy, and I call the service desk and they really were not that much help. Except the service guy did say a new io6 update came up the previous week and to come by and they would load it. Should take about 30minutes. I scheduled an appointment for last friday at 4:30 and it was about 6pm when they finished. The tech told the service manager it was indeed 3 files that had to be loaded and it takes about an hour if everything goes smoothly. Let me back up and say that before the update when I went into the settings of the radio I could see apple car and select it and then it would say device manager, I could not find an android auto setting. Now after the update I was able to see android auto in the settings. Also when you connect the android phone, you have to go in and change the usb mode to transfer files for the android auto app to be recognized by the radio. So just a heads up if you have a 2016 and an android phone it is well worth the upgrade as I can use google maps, spotify, tunein, google play, texting and phone calls through it with voice recognition. Hope this helps somebody.
