Chevy po305 misfire HelP
Hello Guys, Im new here and Im trying to figure out why my truck keeps getting a misfire on number 5 cylinder. Current things I have done. Swapped coil and nothing changed. Changed the plug, changed the injector, changed the wire, installed noid light on injector and it was flashing, Checked spark with my spark tester, sprayed carb cleaner around my intake and nothing changed. I removed valve cover and connected my coils while watching it run to see if it was a lifter. Everything looked good like a sewing machine running. I also kept getting a PO420 code also. I guess Im going to do a compression test on that cylinder next but I have no signs of smoke or blow by out the exhaust. What should my compression be on that engine. I have 182000 miles on it. What should I do next? oh yeah, Fuel pressure is 61 psi also. I had changed the pump b/c it was taking it 2 to 3 times to start like the check valve in the return line wasnt holding pressure.
