First roadtrip 2016 Silverado
I bought a used 2016 Silverado 5.3 to replace our old European Ford Ranger. Just a lovely pickup to drive when we got for our Christmas trip up to northern Sweden
I was our for some shopping in a cold day of -27C ~ -16.6F and when i started the truck after beeing at the store the rear defroster kicked in and after a while i hear a bang and the sound of cracking window. Rear driver side of rearwindow shattered and just some seconds before it happens my doughter who sits in the back says its smelling a strange burnt odour.
Is it possible to replace just the shattered part of the window ( this truck has de electrically operated sliding window ) or do i has to replace the whole package.
Now i just ducktaped the whole shattered window and hope it will hold together all the way home.

Tomorrow morning we start the 1160km ~ 720.7miles trip back to home where i will start to find an autoglass shop who can change the window. Lets hope the duck tape will keep the glass on its place the whole way back.
