I am very disappointed in my truck I’ve grew up always wanting a Silverado 1500 I was finally able to buy one so in 2016 I Purchased a 2015 Silverado 1500 with 20,000 miles on it and ever since I have nothing but issues Spent $4000 on a new transmission I’ve Recently had my check engine light flashing in my stability track light on I have tried replacing plugs plug wires coils fuel injectors and now apparently only thing left isfrom looking up everything online is the lifters and my piston rings might be damaged has anyone else had this problem I’ve spent thousands on my truck I’ve got 140000 miles so warranties won’t cover have contacted Cheverlet customers service expressing my disappointment with Chevy what has happened they was a very reliable automobile in the past now they pos and before anyone says anything yes I have done preventative maintenance while my truck was running everything from tuneup oil changes I have taken excellent care of my truck

 

Unfortunately, you bought a used truck that was probably not taken care of and run very hard to cause this damage. Did you have the codes read and what were they?

 

no it was not rode hard it had only 20000 miles on it I bought it in nov 25 2016 so basically 2 years old and yes first code that started was P0305 that would come on for 1 and half years meantime in and out shop then P0300 that where I’m at now you need to do research like I have very common issues with 07 to present Cheverlet has lost lot of respect from lot of us loyal Cheverlet buyers

 

There are many 07 Chevrolet's that are giving no trouble at all. It could have been run hard for the 20000 miles before you bought it. Did you do a compression check on it?

 

I am having similar issues as well! I've been driving down the road and the Service Stability light appears in the DIC. Even had the Service Trailer Light come on and there was no trailer attached to my truck! The truck will just randomly shut down periodically while turning, lights flash and radio flashing on and off. At the time the issues started it through a MAP code, replaced it, ran fine for a few weeks and about every couple weeks to a month it will do the same thing over again. When this does happen the vehicle is automatically disabled of course and the truck almost acts as if it's running in a reset cycle before the vehicle will even allow the ignition to crank and turn over the motor. Now I am experiencing a very sluggish take off. Tends to make the truck feel like another powerfultruck is inhibiting take-off. I have a K&N Cold Air intake filter mounted and keep it very clean and always do my preventive maintenance. Seriously concerned as I am trying to diagnose these issues and the parts are unbearable to glimpse at and shell out the money to keep your truck running decent. I do my own work and definitely steer clear of the dealerships and mom & pop shops as I've been burned too many times by them and not performing the services that they stated they did. So sad what this all is coming too!!! I'm a Chevy Girl through and through but this is really an issue with this specific year. I'm also looking at replacing more parts but it's pretty complicated when it's not throwing any codes but the one time I replaced the MAP sensor. I have 142K miles and have always ran Amsol Full synthetic 0w 20. Perform Lucas and Seafoam treatments intermittently All other vitals are as should be. Idles at projected RPMs, maintains regular and consistent oil pressure alternator/battery is running as should. Am really stumped with this one. Doing a brake, caliper, disc check tomorrow after work.
