New 2018 Silverado 2500HD
New to the forum. Our 2005 Silverado made it to 300k miles and the lost oil pressure at start up. Decided to get a new one.
I can do without the fancy electronics with one exception. I do like the backup camera and do a lot of towing. LT trim , Z71.
I was surprised the oil pressure rarely exceeded 40psi. So suprised, I asked the dealer to check it out. They said it was normal. So I made sure they added it to the repair order.
I am also surprised at the mpg. I am lucky to hit 13 on the highway. My 05 averaged 14 @70mph and 17 at 60mph. Maybe it will be better when it gets broke in. 1700 miles so far.
