Default Oil filler solution needed

I'm new to the forum. I've owned a 2018 Silverado double cab Z71 Midnight Edition with a 5.3L engine for a little over two years. It's always cumbersome to add oil to the valve cover filler during oil changes. I usually use 5qt containers of oil and need a funnel with a flexible hose which is a challenge to balance while pouring the oil. I thought I'd see if any members have come up with a better solution. I've recently come across a Dorman 917-412 that I thought I might try. It is a goose neck tube that looks like it mounts to the valve cover in place of the filler cap and then accepts the filler cap at the top of the tube. It looks like it would at least allow me to use a straight rigid funnel and take some or all of the angle out of the current valve cover filler hole arrangement. Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome from Florida. It all depends on how tall you are. I usually use a funnel and a stool to help with oil changes, This works very well for me.

I use a rigid funnel with a bent neck.
I just cut it to the length I needed, and used a bit of heat to make it fit snuggly into the filler.

I'm going to start using a a big jug with a spout for filling. Like a garden watering can.
Looks like less mess, and I can measure out exactly how much I need.

And yes, a solid stool helps big time.
